The Stars Are Already Here

We always tell our students to shoot for the stars — but what if the stars are already among us?

Meet Mariah and Niy’lah, two fifth graders from our Little Sisters 4 Science (LS4S) program who are already shining bright.

As the Little Sisters dive into their new astronomy and solar system curriculum, we’re pausing to celebrate their brilliance — past, present, and future.

Niy’lah dreams of becoming a businesswoman, continuing her mother’s legacy by running a childcare center that weaves in her love for science and engineering. Mariah hopes to be an “engineer artist,” designing creations that solve problems while expressing her creativity and imagination.

At Project Exploration, we believe in introducing students to STEM careers that ignite their passions and equip them with real-world skills to turn those dreams into purpose.

Mariah and Niy’lah remind us that sometimes, the best teachers are our students.

🎥 Watch the video to hear from their inspiring teachers — STEAMbassadors Rachel Olujide and Jourdon Simmons— as they share highlights and insights from the classroom.
