Join PE at MSI’s Black Creativity Event

Project Exploration has partnered with the Museum of Science & Industry to lead activities and introduce young people to careers in STEM at their Black Creativity Showcase on Saturday, February 26, from 10am- 1pm.
Black Creativity aims to:
- Provide exposure for African American youth to careers, educational pathways, and other opportunities in science, technology, engineering and medicine.
- Deepen students’ engagement with STEAM through hands-on learning.
- Increase access to MSI and its resources to African American students and their families.
- Showcase African Americans and their contributions, past and current, to the fields of science, technology, engineering and medicine.
Medical professionals or engineers are invited to join us as volunteers to share their experiences and career journeys, while participating in activities with our team, young people, and their families.

About Project Exploration
Project Exploration creates transformative learning experiences, pathways, and a community for youth underrepresented in STEM, especially low-income students, students of color, and young women, allowing them to explore STEM careers and equip them with the necessary skills and practices, and mindset needed for lifelong learning.

Additionally, as a leader of STEM Signing Day Chicago and Gary, Project Exploration is currently seeking volunteers willing to commit one year towards mentoring a high school senior embarking on their college career or a STEM Signing Day alum, who are typically first-generation undergraduate students.
