Heather shared advice to her younger self and to current Project Exploration students, saying “there’s no exact and linear path through life or through a career. There are so many ways to apply your skills and passions! Don’t be afraid to take risks and pursue opportunities, even if they don’t quite fit with the norm.
All Girls Expedition was an unforgettable experience. This expedition was a great solution to bringing about experiential STEM learning experiences for all of us.
Chicago Public School High School Graduates Pursuing a STEM Related Degree or Program Participate in Inaugural STEM Signing Day 2018. Signing days traditionally have been opportunities to celebrate athletes, but this year high school seniors from across our city will be celebrated as they make their commitment to attend either a two or four-year college or university and pursue a STEM degree or program. These students will be recognized for applying their talents in pursuit of careers in STEM fields by Boeing, Motorola Solutions Foundation, and the Mayor’s Office.
Project Exploration has cultivated deep relationships with key stakeholders in the Austin neighborhood in the effort to identify and close opportunity gaps in the STEM learning ecosystem for the community’s youth. As a result of these conversations, Project Exploration is leveraging available space at one of the local public schools to develop the West Side STEM Learning Center (SLC)
